The party never ends

I'm falling with your music

a melting mannequin fight

a poor magicians' trick

revealed in the neon light

I dance to the trance....

like clumsy karaoke folks,

drunk on muddled lyrics

they laugh at me and my

fumbling jukebox jokes,

my fierce falsettos cutting

my white lines through the

spiraling cigarette smoke.

So swaddle me in serenade,

I'm a tired barfly

a failed never-try

that was never broke,

and never got paid.

But I whistle the tune,

and talk of being back,

and call you on the phone,

I'm okay, just one more track,

I'll be coming home to you soon.
